Brake
A brake is a component used to slow a marble down as the poor defenseless marble slides into a vertical free fall, hurtling towards little colored marble oblivion. The brake appears as a vertical pipe with several pairs of metal "wings" which slow the speed of the marble, and, by the by, make splendid little clackity-clack sounds as they do so.
